Blind Swimmer to Tackle Strait of Georgia for Guide Dog Fundraiser

We are all so proud of patient and active blind community leader Scott Rees. After slowly losing vision to Retinitis Pigmentosa he has decided to swim across the Georgia Straight to raise funds for Guide Dogs Canada.

Today is International Guide Dog Day! Please consider donating here. Guide dogs restore dignity and mobility to those living with impaired vision and blindness.

White canes vs guide dogs will always provoke a lively discussion in the visually impaired community but both options should always be available. Please consider supporting Scott’s swim and raising money and awareness for BC Guide Dogs!

Thanks for your consideration.
